LONGTZE Premier finished 3rd, compensated time, in the Singapore Straits Regatta. The team has returned to China where the LONGTZE Premier production series has now begun.
It was once again a wonderful week of regattas for the LONGTZE Premier team which reaffirmed the boat’s qualities. Pierre Mas’s team finished 3rd in the IRC fleet, Class B, despite an improvised SBR rating for the boat, converted to an IRC rating. “The boat sails very well and in view of the handicap, it was a fine performance in finishing 3rd, in compensated time, behind a Mumm 30 and a Platu. Singapore, the city and country, is incredibly involved with sailing. There are so many organizations which bring the sport to young people. They all sail in Optimists and in Lasers. The natural step after dinghies is the keel boat and LONGTZE, with its intrinsic advantages, was very well received by everyone. It is genuinely a fast boat, brilliant. Contrary to previously received notions saying that there isn't very much wind in Singapore, we had wind every day and exciting racing on a tactical level in as much as a strategic level". The team has returned to China this week. The boatyard has started its production pace at five boats a month. The first boats have already been ordered by their future owners from China, Malaysia and Europe (France, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland and Germany).
