From the 8th to the 11th of May, five LONGTZE Premier sportboats will be in France and on the start line for the Naval College Grand Prix ; the largest gathering of sportboats in Europe. LONGTZE Premier is the guest star of the event. At the same time, the team in Asia will race in Korea, at the Yisunshin Cup during May and the Korea Match Racing Cup in June.
It is one of the largest gatherings of sportboats in Europe, one that will surely be noticed in the Brest harbor, close alongside the Crozon island. On the program, 140 “new generation” sailboats, 600 racing sailboats coming from all over Europe and three days of intense sailboat racing. Guest star of the event, LONGTZE Premier will make a debut for its first sailing in European waters.
Five Longtze Premier production boats will be on the start line. Skippering will be Monsieur André Annick, president of the Royal Belgium Sailing Club, Monsieur Koos Van Den Heuvel, Chairman of the company CINMAR B.V, Seb Audigane, holder of the crewed “Around the World” record (maxi-catamaran “Orange”), Luc Gellusseau and Xavier de Lesquen, initiators of the LONGTZE series and even a film producer, Patrick Godeau.
Xavier de Lesquen – “It is a great pleasure for me to return to the Naval School where for two years, I went through my first paces as a junior officer. It is also a pleasure to return under these circumstances, on board a Longtze, a magnificent boat, for a race which will bring together, for the first time the European owners for the Longtze European circuit.”
The sportboats present at the Naval School Grand Prix will be the following: Mumm 30, Open 750, Open 5.70, J80, Melges 24, 747 OD, Mach 650, Karver 650, Open 650, Longtze Premier.
