Three new boats have arrived in Hong-Kong June 12th. Ordered by Hong Kong owners, the Longtze Premiers have enlarged the islands sportboat fleet and have been an attraction by many interested sailors. The container coming from Qingdao, overseen by Thierry Barot and Charlie Pinot, was unloaded at the Royal Hong-Kong Yacht Club, “The boats arrived on Thursday, 12th of June, at 2:00 in Hong-Kong. Everyone in the club was there. They have already seen the boats, but now they get to see them in the different yellow and grey colors.Despite a pounding rain, it was an exceptional moment,” explained Thierry Barot.Image

On the calendar, a sailing filled summer for the new LONGTZEs, whose maiden sail’s will be on Hong-Kong waters. They will enter the Typhoon Series in June, July and August. They will participate in the very popular IRC regattas, which mobilizes the island’s whole sailing community every other Sunday, and brings together some sixty odd boats. Another pretext to be present and sail sportboat regattas are Saturday afternoon regattas in Sai Kung. Organized by the Royal Hong-Kong Yacht Club, the sportboat fleet is usually made up of a fleet of Magic 25s. This year, LONGTZE will increase the fleet’s ranks. Image

At the end of June, the team will be present, simultaneously, on the Chinese Mainland, for a series of regattas, two hours south of Qingdao.  A training center in the Chandong province, Rizhao is very involved in sailing sports. Three LONGTZEs will be present, including a crew made up entirely of Chinese sailors. This regatta will bring together racing teams from China, Korea, and Russia.  It is a very popular event for the local population and one of the biggest summer events in the area.
