They are passionate about sailing, students or young professionals. Whenever they have some extra time, you can find them on the water. They race each year at “spi Ouest” France, “spi Dauphine”,”Coupe de France étudiante”, “Juris Cup". Last week, they had their first experience on LONGTZE Premier in La Rochelle at the Pôle France Voile Habitable, where the boats have been prepared to sail at any time, for those who wish to get to know them and give them a try.Testimonials:
Stanislas de Gabrielli, Vice president of the Assas challenge (Paris II sailing club, supported by Neubawer and Jones Day), 2nd year student of law: “Normally, I sail on a “Grand Surprise”, a 31 foot Archambault, and when I saw the LONGTZE, I was surprised by the enormous cockpit space. A cockpit without a vang in the way, it was great. On deck, without having never sailed on board, the boat was a real thrill. What strikes me next right away, is its maneuverability. You can steer it with two fingers and better still with two fingers, and without using the hand. It was a great feeling to be on board. It went very well upwind. It was a little less impressive downwind.... but it still quickly got up on a plane." Clement David, “ Grand Surpise” skipper, crew member on the Nantes central sailing team, also working with the sail loft, at Incidences, in La Rochelle : “LONGTZE Premier is the first keel boat which resembles a dinghy, in its liveliness. On a sailboat level, it is very stable, and powerful with its large spinnaker. What really struck was that: the mainsail was fully battened, the mainsail leech, was inversed, and concave. We can see now this is boat coming from the America's Cup, with its squared mainsail, with the sheets and halyards being split, and easily worked from the cockpit. We can see quickly see that, this is a technical boat.” Hugo Salle, 1st year student of law, member of the Assas challenge : “I have never sailed on this type of boat, moreover the Class 8 and the “ Class Surprise” of course. But I did discover I thought it was a stylish boat, well made, easy to handle. There wasn’t anything difficult to understand. We had good wind, I got to steer the boat, and found it to be very easy to handle and sensitive to the touch". |
