"The Longtze Premier class rules have been established to make a fast, innovative sportboat, identical in performance between each boat and can assure  participation in races organized under the International Sailing Federation rules.

They are the objectives to establish a accurate "one design" between all the boats and in this general way, these two major principals have been upheld.

1) anything which doesn’t make the boat the simplest, most practical, least expensive has been prohibited. 

2) that the owners of the boats participate directly in the future rule changes and verify themselves the conformity of their boats during its lifetime.

The important characteristics of the boat have been well defined (the hull along with its deck and its structures, the appendages, the sails, the rigging, etc…) but also the totality of elements and equipment of the boat (hardware, safety equipment, misc. equipment...) which have properties and characteristics well defined to assure the homogeneity of each boat with respect to the rules of the class.
A rules certificate is given to each boat and takes into account the overall characteristics of the total group of components of the boat".
