LONGTZE Premier goes sailing at the Qingdao Olympic marina

There you have it; the LONGTZE Premier series has been launched. The first production boat sailed on the Olympic waters outside of the Qingdao marina. The grey boat, with its red moustaches, made a sensation. It is its design and style which are becoming well known and as always its speed and lightness which move the spirits. Compared to the prototypes, they have been improved even more as Pierre Mas, helmsman, explains:{mosimage}

« With respect to the prototypes, the production boat has a new rudder, a new keel, a new mast tube, and new rigging.We sailed all week, either in light winds or breezes of 13-14 knots. We have improved the boat’s speed and lightness too. From here on out, the production boat is in motion. The first nine boats ready for delivery in Europe will be put in containers next week.»{mosimage}

The team, based in Qingdao , China, will now concentrate on the production series as well putting into place a regatta circuit in Europe and Asia over the next several months. In the meantime, the Longtze Premier Class rule will officially be presented next March 15th.
